Quatre Poires (184)

Quatre Poires (184)

"Quattro Poire" is an eau-de-vie made from four varieties of fully ripened pears, grown by Mr. Noboru Takahashi, a fruit farmer in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture. Mr. Takahashi values fruit cultivation in harmony with nature, and his orchard produces fruit grown with minimal intervention, trusting in the power of nature.

The four varieties used are Red Bartlett (a small, off-grade pear), La France, Silver Bell, and Le Lectier. Red Bartlett, in particular, is a branch mutation of Williams (Bartlett), considered the king of eau-de-vie in Europe, boasting a vibrant red skin and rich flavor. To bring out the unique characteristics of the fruit with its concentrated aroma, each variety undergoes a long fermentation period of 20 to 60 days before careful distillation. Afterward, it is aged in oak barrels to create a spirit with a deep aroma and rich flavor.

Please enjoy the layering of aromas and flavors created by these four pear varieties.

This product is a collaboration with "nin," a brand operated by the food collective "TETOTETO" that breathes new life into discarded fruit. nin's mission is to transform fruits that would otherwise be thrown away into "beautiful and delicious" products, meticulously crafting fruit butters, dressings, and other items with time and care.
